Aberdeen Astronomical Society

Aberdeen Astronomical Society was formed in 1969 and has a current membership of about 35. The society meets monthly (second Tuesday of the month) from September to May at the historic Cromwell Tower Observatory at King’s College in Old Aberdeen


AAS is an organisation for astronomy enthusiasts that meet on a regular basis for astronomical observing, talks by guest speakers and visits to observatories and planetaria.

AAS has members of all ages and experience levels and usually meet at the historic Cromwell Tower Observatory in Old Aberdeen and in Bettridge Centre, Newtonhill.
