ZenithsStar 80II ED

The William Optics ZenithsStar 80II ED features the latest and arguably the best DDG (Digital) Focuser currently available.

This focuser offers a superior performance to many other typical 2" Crayford focusers, and is more robust and features more load bearing capacity.

The ZenithsStar 80II ED possesses high quality Japanese Ohara FPL-51 ED Glass and Fully Multi-Coating for outstanding sharpness and color correction at APO level.

The color correction and optical quality of this scope is excellent, considered by many enthusiasts to be superior to many other so called FPL53 F6 doublets currently on the market.

This scope is the perfect choice for anyone who desires an excellent backup telescope or guiding scope at an exceptional price, or indeed makes a wonderful first APO refractor for CCD imaging, which can be used for planetary work, wide-field imaging, as well as sharp, high power observations.

Fully baffled to block all extraneous off-axis light rays and prevent glancing reflections, increasing overall contrast.

80 mm clear aperture. Fully CNC machined production, no plastic parts used.

The scope now features a power coated white tube and comes complete with a high quality soft carry case

Superior anodizing will not only give you a beautiful telescope, but also protect it by making the surface much harder than natural aluminum and in elegant blue finish, stylish like a designer product! It is particularly suited to be paired to SCTs as a guiding scope.
