Meade ETX Telescope

The 'AT edition' of the Meade ETX telescope has eliminated two of the biggest challenges facing amateur astronomers, namely, aligning and locating objects. This optical instrument has made astronomy as elementary as pressing a button.

Quite frankly just because a star may be millions of years old, doesn't mean it should take you that long to locate it.

Meade ETX Telescope

If you're looking to see a hard-to-find deep space galaxy Meade's ETX ensures you can do it effortlessly and at the push of a button

The same thing goes for the planets, stars and nebulae. Just select an object you would like to observe, push a button, and then control software will automatically point your telescope and position it directly in your eyepiece.

On the odd occasion you're not sure what to observe you can goto the “Tonight's Best™” tour in your AutoStar. It automatically selects the best objects in the sky for that particular time and location (from its database of over 30,000 celestial objects). All you need is a clear night, a dark sky along with a little curiosity.

Regardless of whether you intimately know the sky off by heart, or just setting out on your voyage of discovery, your Meade ETX-AT will take you exactly where you wish to go.

The Models

There are two models currently in this range, the Meade ETX-90AT and the Meade ETX-125AT which both feature an advanced Maksutov-Cassegrain design for pinpoint star images and extraordinary contrast.

Standard Equipment

Equipment that comes as standard with the ETX includes a Meade 884 field tripod, 26mm Series 4000 1.25" Super Plössl eyepiece (73X), and Meade AutoStar Suite Astronomer Edition Software and Instructional DVD.

Supporting the ETX is an extremely stable tripod which features chrome plated tubular steel legs, and for the astrophotographer it has a built in wedge which can be used for polar alignment of the telescope. Software will enable you to find objects in the night sky and print star maps.
